The decision by an independent commission to dock Everton 10 points has been met with criticism from a variety of quarters. Gary Neville, just this week on the Stick to Football podcast, had his say on the affair, and the Premier League in general, calling it a ‘defunct organisation because they’ve got 20 clubs all voting with self-interest.’ We’ll go into Neville’s comments in the rest of the newsletters, along with a look at the vote on whether to allow loans between clubs who had shared ownership which left a bitter taste in some supporters’ mouths.
